Foxcom RF optic (RFoF) links are used around the world on numerous military platforms enabling multiple signals to be transmitted and received over a single optic fiber. Foxcom’s Military Fiber Optic Radio Links provide a strategic radio transportation solution for remote antenna locations via fiber. The military radio link supports fiber optic transport over multiple radio channels and can be optimized to support remote RF transmit power levels, RF bands and special filtering and UHF military satellite communication.
Military Radio Links interface with a standard antenna port of any HF/VHF/UHF radio and are able to transmit radio signals to remote locations via fiber.
The system is comprised of two units
• Radio Side Unit (RSU), which connects to the radio on the operator side
• Antenna Side Unit (ASU), which connects to a remote antenna
The radio link is equipped with a fast high performance processing mechanism that enables easy upgrade and support over non-standard military hopping modes and transmit modes.
